SIMran kaur
Simran Kaur is a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst and cybersecurity educator with experience in threat intelligence, governance, and risk management. She focuses on understanding emerging cyber threats, malware behaviour, and how AI is shaping modern attack techniques. In her role, she helps support practical and proactive security measures within large enterprise environments.
Simran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and is completing her Master of Cybersecurity and Threat Intelligence at the University of Guelph. Her graduate work explores deepfake detection, AI-enabled threat analysis, and techniques for identifying email and media manipulation. She has also delivered youth cybersecurity awareness sessions to help students stay safe online.
She often speaks on topics such as online safety, evolving cyber risks, and the intersection of AI and security. Simran is committed to making cybersecurity more approachable and encouraging greater representation of women in STEM.
Outside of work, Simran values community, continuous learning, and spending time in nature, often finding her reset on a hiking trail.
